Update to Coronavirus measures in our churches

Although government restrictions have been lifted, we would still advise caution in our buildings. Wearing a mask is up to each individual but we would ask that everyone is mindful of other people and respects social distancing unless invited by another to come closer. Please continue to use hand sanitiser on entry and we would advise signing in, although this is no longer mandatory.  Singing will gradually resume in our services but please only exchange the peace with a smile or wave with the people nearest you rather than moving around the building. The situation is constantly under review and further updates will be posted.

Communion update

Communion may again be received in two kinds: bread and wine. It is up to each individual to decide whether they wish to take the chalice. Intinction (‘dipping’ in the wine) is not allowed. Please tick the notice at the back of the church to indicate whether you might wish to receive from the chalice in September, so we have an idea of numbers. Thank you.

We are looking for groups of musicians to take part in our Worship & Praise Service. This takes place on the 1st Sunday of the month. If you are interested in taking part, please email the parish office: findoncprectory@gmail.com

We continue to work hard to develop ways in which we can return to worship safely and to meet the needs of

the church family and the community in our parish as we look forward to our churches opening up again.

"Let the door of our heart be open to receive, O Christ,
the soul of our being unlocked, to welcome you;
and the gate of our life flung wide, for your entering in
(Ambrose of Milan)

At this challenging time we are united in our prayer

and in caring for vulnerable members of our community through practical acts of service.

Helena and Colin continue to pray for everyone.

If you have any specific prayer requests, please contact the Rectory.

Please stay safe and well and be assured of our prayers for you and your families.

God of compassion,
be close to those who are ill, afraid, in isolation
or concerned about their jobs and businesses
In their loneliness, be their consolation;
in their anxiety, be their hope;
in their darkness, be their light;
through him who suffered alone on the cross,
but reigns with you in glory,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
